Continue to follow the road. Turn right and cross a bridge. Be careful as you cross the bridge, there is poison oak on the opposite side. When the short trail ends, turn right and walk up a dirt road. When the dirt road ends, turn left on the high road on the right side of some yellow poles. Stop when you see an old stream channel on your right.

Beheaded stream channels and shutter ridges are common topographic features found along the San Andreas fault. A beheaded stream is formed as the plates move a higher topographic feature in front of the channel cutting off the head of the stream.
