A survey of issues and techniques pertinent to geology as it applies to engineering of structures. Soil and rock mechanics; mass wasting processes; water-related issues; land subsidence; seismic hazards.Field trips are required. Three hours lecture and six hours laboratory, some of which will be conducted in the field. Materials fee required. Prerequisite: GEOL 301 and 360 with a grade of "C" or better in each course.
