An advanced geologic topic, such as geophysics, carbonate petrology, seismic stratigraphy, biostratigraphy, advanced igneous and metamorphic petrology, volcanic processes, geochemistry, paleoecology, Quaternary geology, geostatistics, micropaleontology, vertebrate paleontology,
paleobotany, marine geology, and rock mechanics. Overnight
field trips may be required. May be repeated for credit as topics change. Prerequisites: consent of instructor.
