First course of a three-course sequence surveying the basic concepts of physics, primarily for students entering fields relating to the biological sciences. This course will cover the basic principles of mechanics. Four hours lecture and three hours laboratory.
Prerequisites: MATH 192 or 211, with a grade of "C-" or better. (GE=B.3)
