Provides basic understanding of the process of life and the universality of life processes at the molecular and cellular level. Four hours lecture and three hours laboratory. A strong background equivalent to one year each of high school biology and chemistry is highly recommended.
Prerequisite: Satisfactory score on the Entry Level Mathematics examination.
